Senior Engineer Safety
Prepare Safety performance reports for both internal and external stakeholders;
Ensure quality control of reports of incidents and non-conformities;
Take an active part in implementing Safety procedures to be aligned with legal and governing requirements in onshore/offshore operations;
Provide support and perform Safety inspections and HSE verifications at contractors, potential suppliers, onshore supply base, supply vessels and offshore units;
Take part on operations daily routines and meetings as HSE preferred partner;
Lead incident investigations identifying root causes, mitigating actions and final report inssuance;
Hands on support on regulatory documents organization;
Assist in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, ALARPs and other applicable risk assessments as Safety representative;
Support to establish and follow up HSE programs and action plans;
Prepare for and provide support on authorities’ audits;
Assist with the organization and materials/presentations for HSE events, trainings and campaigns;
Any other Safety or performance-related activity that may arise;
Qualifications
Certified as a registered Safety Engineer – (NR4 compliance)
Solid experience with occupational health and safety legislation (NR’s) and relevant Navy requirements (NORMAM’s). Knowledge of flag (Bahamas) requirements is not essential, but considered nice to have.
Solid practical experience with implementation and follow-up of Safety best practices and regulatory norms.
Incident analysis and investigation techniques
Strong computer and software skills (HSE reporting tools, excel, power point, data analysis, Office 365 package)
Knowledge of risk assessment tools
Language skills – Fluency in Portuguese and English.
7 to 10 years of experience Onshore/offshore in HSE related positions
Experience with contractor inspections and verifications
Experience with training development and its implementation
Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
